2nd John

1¹The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth and not just me but all that have known the truth; ²For the truth's (Jesus)(John 14:6) sake, which dwells in us and will be with us forever. ³Grace be with you, mercy and peace from God, the Father, from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

⁴I rejoice greatly that I found [certain] children walking in truth, as the Father commands. ⁵And now I [beg] you, lady, I'm not writing a new commandment (but rather the old one) we've had from the beginning, 'that we LOVE one another'. ⁶And this is love, that we [obey] His commands. This command that you heard from the beginning you should [obey]. ⁷Because many deceivers are entered into the world, who do not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. THis is a deceiver and an antichrist. ⁸[Be cautious] so that we don't lose the things we've [fashioned; worked for] but that we receive a full reward. ⁹Whoever [adds to takes away from](Rev.22:18-19) Christ's [teachings] doesn't abide in the true word and doesn't have God. He that abides in the [true teachings] of Christ has both the Father and the Son. ¹⁰If anyone comes to you not bringing [Christ's teaching] do not receive him into your house, nor bid him godspeed. ¹¹For he that bids him godspeed is a partaker of his evil deeds.

¹²I have (so) many things to write to you that (I'm) not (going to use) paper and ink, but (hope) to come to you (in person) that our joy may be [fulfilled]. ¹³The children of your elect sister greet you. Amen.
